Several years ago, a group of dedicated, caring and involved parents worked together with vision and passion to create the Friends of Northwest PTO mission statement: Our mission is to support arts and academics at Northwest. Friends coordinates school-wide initiatives related to advocacy, fundraising, teacher appreciation, and community involvement. Is it time to revisit and shape a new statement that more closely represents our current values and priorities? We Collect Box Tops!

Clipping Box Tops is such an easy way to earn cash for our school. Did you know each one is worth 10¢!?! Just look for the pink Box Tops logo on hundreds of products, clip them out, and send them to school. There’s a collection box located at the front desk in the Media Center. See the full Box Top product list at Clip ‘em, turn ‘em in by the October 17 deadline! Curriculum Night Schedule

We hope to see you at Curriculum Night this Thursday, September 8 @ 5:45pm. All parents should go straight to their student's first block A Day class upon arrival, and be in place by 5:50 for the welcome and announcements about the evening. Please bring a copy of your student's schedule and school map! Student schedules will not be printed for parents on Curriculum Night so it is important for you to have that information from your student before you get here (or bring them with you!). Parents can walk the student's entire schedule and visit each class for ten minutes. All NWSA parents/guardians (middle and high) are invited to Curriculum Night next Thursday, September 8 @ 6:00pm - 8:00pm. This is your opportunity to walk your student's schedule, meet teachers, ask questions, and meet other parents. Print the PTO Welcome Packet and School Map Our school, teachers, and students need us! Friends of Northwest PTO board members will be available in the school media center on curriculum night to answer questions about school volunteer opportunities and ways you can get involved.
