A primary goal of the Tate Farm Garden at Northwest School of the Arts is to foster a sense of civic responsibility by donating a portion of the garden harvest to community agencies, like Friendship Trays.

Friendship Trays delivers daily balanced meals to over 750 Charlotte-Mecklenburg community members who are unable to obtain or prepare their own meals because of age or infirmity.

As part of the Friendship Garden Network, Tate Farm Garden volunteers harvest and donate about 75% of our fresh vegetables to Friendship Trays on a regular basis.

The Tate Farm Garden (TFG) at Northwest School of the Arts relies entirely on the volunteer efforts and enthusiasm of our school community to keep growing. No gardening experience necessary - come join the fun!
