Hello NWSA, these are your weekly announcements, and first a reminder that Wednesday the 31st is a teacher workday.
Doughnuts for Dinner! Band and Orchestra Boosters will be selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts in the carpool line on Thursday, November 1. $10 will get you a dozen doughnuts. Cash or check to nwsa bob are accepted.
H20 on the Go : Our leadership team at Northwest has started a water bottle drive. They are partnering with a non-profit organization started in the Charlotte area, H20 on the go. H20 on the go is a non-profit organization that collects water cases and distributes them to people affected by homelessness. We are collecting cases of water throughout the entire month of October, so please bring water cases to the school. They can be dropped off in the carpool line near the gym.
Spirit Week: Northwest Spirit Week is coming up from November 4-9! Make sure to show your school spirit by dressing up! Monday is Decades Day- dress up as your favorite decade, Tuesday is Meme Day, Wednesday is Icon day, Thursday is senior (citizen) day time to pull out that grey wig and Friday is Pride Day.
Thanksgiving Food Drive: Starting Tuesday, October 30, we will be holding a Thanksgiving Food Drive to support Loaves & Fishes. We are collecting non-perishable food items such as canned meat, canned fruit, pasta, canned vegetables, powdered milk, cereal, and 100% juice. Please bring your donations to your A1 class at the beginning of the day. The first block that donates the most will receive a Chick-fil-A breakfast! Second place will win donuts from Krispy Kreme!
The Spanish Honor Society will be having an audition for "Latino Night" on Wednesday, November 14th at 4:30 pm in the auditorium until 5:30 pm. All students, middle and high school are WELCOME to audition. The only requirement will be to perform something that is related to the Latino Culture and in Spanish. It could be a dance, song, play, piece of music (any instrument) and visual art. Gracias!
